The Status Quo

In an article in the Appleton Post-Crescent, “People of color have less access to mental health help,” Madeline Heim writes,

“The University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute gave Wisconsin overall a B-minus grade in its Health of Wisconsin 2016 Report Card, but issued a D grade for health disparities, meaning minority residents of all ages are sicker than their majority counterparts in terms of race/ethnicity, gender, geography and socioeconomic status.”
